Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and grew up in an ethnically diverse, multiracial family. The father of Jacqueline's Elroy Fernandez hails originally from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is a Malaysian. Her siblings include two brothers and an older sister. Due to unrest in Sri Lanka, her family were forced to relocate to Bahrain in the late 1980s. In Australia she was enrolled in Media and Communications at University of Sydney after graduating from Bahrain. The love of the languages and culture led her to join the Berlitz language school where she improved her French as well as Arabic while learning Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she was awarded the title in 2006. After winning Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she entered the world of television and hosted a program on Sri Lanka's business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone has a daughter with badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. In her teens she competed in badminton championships at national level. But, she resigned from the sport to make a profession as designer. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Padukone is located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State, India is where her lineage originates. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of global repute. Her mother works as a travel agent.
